ABOUT ME

I'm a metal-loving sci-fi nerd with Nepali-Franconian roots from the hilly woodlands around Cologne, Germany.

I work as a researcher on e-government and similar topics in Berlin. In a previous life, I was a student of the social sciences wasted my time as a wine-drinking kitchen philosopher.

My interest for international development has taken me from Bielefeld to Jakarta and I'm still enthusiastic about the topic.

I'm an entrepreneurial spirit, having started a small publishing house with my brother. My new pet project is some kind of think tank that I set up with some friends.
I can tinker with business ideas for hours, even if I will never have the time to realize them.

When I'm not caught up in political debates or developing business plans, I like to relax with English-language TV series or books.

Most importantly, I take nothing to seriously, even though it's my second name.

I like to read, swim like an old man, discuss politics and questions of science and philosophy, feeling the breeze on long bicycle rides, improvised cooking, travelling, building things (furniture, websites, anything), everything involving computers, TV series...

I like guitar music: From indie to alternative to hard rock to metal.

I especially appreciate intelligent sci-fi and fantasy like Ursula K. Le Guin, George R.R. Martin and Kim Stanley Robinson.
Currently, I trying to catch up on some 19th/early 20th century literature to become more civilized.

I like movies that have a story and a message and give you something to talk about later on. Or at least a good laugh.
