Über mich
Hello ! I’m Bastien, grew up in a small town near the sea (Northwest part of France, « Finistère » meaning end of the earth), travelled a lot during my studies (sometimes with Cs) and lived for a couple of years in Paris before moving to Berlin (Sept23).
It’s been a while since I didn’t use Cs, but my flatmate is hosting from time to time, so I finally reactivated my account. I want to use it again in 2025 to connect with locals.
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
I was using it when I was a broke student to save a bit of money and travel more. However the main outcome was not financial but it helped me to overcome my fear of travelling solo.
It was the opportunity to meet locals and other travellers. I want to use it again for this reason. That is the best way to explore a new place.
Funny enough I work in the hospitality industry but I still don’t see the reason to spend much on accommodations (I mostly book hostels).

Musik, Filme und Bücher
In love with eletronic music (main reason I moved to Berlin), but also like to see a great band playing live.
I don’t read enough, but I want to get back to it. My favorite author is Joseph Kessel (I even have a tattoo of his face on the back of my arm).
Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
While being in’ Nepal and after returning from the base camp of the Everest (only did the trek) my flight was cancelled due to bad weather conditions (Lukla airport is one of the most dangerous in the world).
Got lucky and got a seat in a helicopter. I was afraid of dying every 5 minutes haha but what a pilot we had :))
Lehren, lernen, teilen
I like to cook (vegetarian) but never say no to going out for dinner or a couple of drinks (I don’t drink alcohol but still like bars).
Quite a good guide to show you around Berlin. I like going to exhibitions of photography or contemporary art (also what I visit primarily in a new town). Always checking some interesting plays, concerts …
If I’m in the mood, I also like dancing (house/techno). Berlin is well known for this but I discovered that it has so much more to offer ...
Was ich mit Gastgebern teilen kann
We can share a good meal at home, if I’m hosting you can use my stuff (painting, djing …). Obviously always ask first. I’d do the same if you have interesting gears :-)
You need another pair of arms to mount this new piece of furniture ? Please don’t hesitate to ask me for help !!
