ABOUT ME

I like to make things. I am super into fiber arts right now. That and intentional communities. Want to talk to me about wool? Or communes? Because I will be down. I am mostly quiet and I can be pretty shy sometimes, but I'm friendly and I like to get along with everyone.

I live with my partner Stephan. Ze loves rock climbing, gender studies, and making people laugh. We're super duper queer. We welcome gay-and-trans-friendly guests. We have a very sweet cat, Cricket, she is very cuddly with us but hides when new people come over.

We are kinda new to Philadelphia.

We like attending food swaps, going to all kinds of conferences, cooking food from our little roof garden, watching dumb TV, picking out books at A-Space to send to people in prison, and running away to do some occasional farming.

Music, Movies, and Books

Lev Grossman's "The Magicians." Some of my favorite books have been "Lord of the Rings," "Ender's Game," "House of Leaves," "My Gender Workbook" "Dangerous Angels," Terry Pratchett's "Discworld" series, "The Sandman" and pretty much everything else Neil Gaiman ever touched, and on and on. I love well-written books!

Current favorite musicians: Coyote Grace, Kimya Dawson, Tilly and the Wall, Vampire Weekend, Animal Collective, Fight a Scary Dog

Movies: I don't go to the movies often. I like Short Bus, Rocky Horror, Moulin Rouge, Velvet Goldmine, The Princess Bride, REPO! The Genetic Opera

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Most recently, maybe Philadelphia's Magic Gardens. All sparkly mosaic. It's yummy, you should check it out if you visit!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to make tiny paper stars and almond moon cookies.

I can also teach you everything a third grader needs to know about groundwater in the Tucson area.

I can teach you how to use a drop spindle, but you must be patient.
