It's time for some soul searching! Learning how to take life one step at a time and absorbing what's around me. Taking time to figure myself out and hopefully improving on my stash of bad jokes. I have stayed at hostels and loved it, but I also really gotta get to know some of the locals. I love to travel and learn about different cultures but I'd really like to make some awesome new friends! Also down to just chill and play video games or watch movies.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I originally intended to use this site to find places to stay as I met up with my international friends, but my outlook changed after my first Couchsurfing experience! The first person who hosted me was an amazing woman; her house was warm and unique, and she always offered me her company. Being hosted by her was more than a place to stay, it was a new friend and a new home. I realized that Couchsurfing has so much more to offer that what I saw on the surface. Now, I'm here to ask for a place to stay and make new friends and memories along the way!

Interests

I love trying new things and I want to experience my host's favorite food or spot to hang.

I like to move my body, but I wouldn't say I can "dance"...my dancing mainly consists of madly flailing around and lots of random dance moves I know thrown into a mix. Just join in with me and we'll have a good time!😊

I really enjoy listening to any and all types of music. I have yet to come across a genre I couldn't get into!

Music, Movies, and Books

I really love many different types of music but more upbeat music and pop are my favorites.

I mostly watch animations so I like a lot of Disney movies! And, to be honest, I'm a huge fan of anime so Hiyo Miyozaki movies and Shingeki no Kiyojin are my jam.

My favorite kinds of books are books about dragons.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have studied abroad in Japan for a year, and climbed to the tippy top of Mt. Fuji!

Drove within a group of heynas in Zambia. Absolutely incredible! Experiencing the diverse wildlife of Zambia's South Luangwa park was one of the best experiences I've had so far.

Became a more open and social individual. Even so, I still value my alone time!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share with you all about life in the DMV area, as well as the culture I learned while living in Rochester and Japan. I'd love to understand about other cultures and traditions from around the world. I would be happy to share my experiences from the places I've visited, like Zambia or Ireland. And, once I get going, I can regale you with some pretty funny stories! But, please laugh at my dumb jokes.
