Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Meeting new people from all over the world
ABOUT ME
To start with the personal history:
Born in 1978 in Leverkusen (near Cologne), and since 1980 i'm living in Stommeln (near Cologne also).
Finished academic high school in 1998, and went to the German navy for basic military service afterwards.
Then i started an apprenticeship to become an export merchant, but as i changed my mind after 6 month, because the job was boring, i became a freight forwarder, which was the right decision.
To come to personal skills, as far as i can tell (this should be done by friends or family):
I guess, that i'm humorous, open-minded, reliable and friendly.
All further personal skills of me have to be critizised by you ;-)

PHILOSOPHY
You get what you give!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I heard of this site in 2008 on a German radio station.
The project did sound really interesting, so i decided to join it. It's a great way, to meet people from all over the world.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted some persons now, and every experience was extremely positive and exciting. Hope, it will stay like this.
Interests
I'm interested in a lot of things:
As i joined this site i'm naturally interested in people from foreign countries, their culture, style of living, food, language and such things.
Beside this i love football (soccer), especially Bayer 04 Leverkusen and Slavia Prague, parties (with draught beer...) and good conversations with other people.
Also i'm interested in politics and history.

Music, Movies, and Books
This is really hard to tell, so i will only nominate
my Top 3 of each chapter:
Movies / directors / series:
1. Everything of Quentin Tarantino (strange movies, but
great movies)
2. The Simpsons (absolute fabulous humore)
3. Movies of Bud Spencer & Terence Hill (always fine
for a sunday afternoon after a long party-night)
Music:
1. Everything of the 80s (best decade of music ever,
especially Talk Talk, Tears For Fears and Cock
Robin)
2. Runrig (Folk-Rock from Scotland)
3. Boehse Onkelz (German rock-band, unfortunately
meanwhile disbanded)
Books / authors
1. Ephraim Kishon (godfather of satire, i love his
style of writing)
2. The schoolbook, that i'm learning Czech with :-)
3. "Das Boot" by Lothar-Guenther Buchheim (novel about
a German submarine in WW II, which shows how
horrible war is).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Travelling to Plzen in autuum 2006 to see Eva (my best female friend) for 36 hours (the cruise to Plzen and back took 16 hours...)
FIFA World Cup 2006 in Germany, i've never seen such a great and big party for four weeks!
Teach, Learn, Share
As already told above i'm interested in foreign countries and their people. So i like to learn from the people which join me / which i join, and the people which i join / which join me, shall do the same.
I hope to meet people, that have the same opinion.
If it will not work, it's a pity, but okay.
Nobody's perfect, and if there are different opinions, we can talk about it, and see, if one of both parties is changing his mind.
Countries I’ve Visited
Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Tunisia, United Kingdom
Countries I’ve Lived In
