Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Let's be real, I travel for the stories. I want to get out of my bubble and into a world where the food is spicier, the coffee is stronger, and the bus schedules are merely a suggestion. My main goals are: sharing laughs that need no translation, learning a country's history from someone whose grandpa probably lived it, and trying to live a completely different lifestyle (even if that just means mastering the art of the siesta).

Sure, adapting to new cultures makes me more sociable and flexible, but it also means I've probably offended a local deity by using the wrong hand, or I've become weirdly proud of successfully ordering a meal without pointing at a picture. It's about discovering that the best way to open your mind is to first get completely lost, have a minor panic, and then find your way to a street food stall that changes your life. Travel isn't just about seeing new places; it's about coming home with a slightly broken phone, a pocket full of mysterious coins, and a new, funnier version of yourself…
