I don't care so much about what I or someone else does for a living - but rather the why. I do creative direction and brand development for small businesses and startups (more or less, I give companies a personality - it's a cohesive mix of visual design and writing), and I absolutely love it. My why is simply that my obsession with understanding the complexities of human beings and defining their place and reason in this world is a calling I've managed to apply to the companies I work for. And really, at the end of the day, each person (and thereby, company) I understand the defining characteristics of, allows me to understand myself more concretely. No point in pretending this isn't a purely selfish advent.
