My name is Brandon, I'm a 28 year old artist living in Saint Louis, Missouri. I decided to join couch surfing due to the fact that I've always wanted to travel not only the United states but also hope abroad to other countries. I think that 'surfing' would be a great way for me to have new experiences in life and meet new and interesting people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing as a way to meet new people from different cultural backgrounds and exchange ideas, experiences and make lifelong friends. I think that through photography I can connect with people in a way that is genuine and promotes dialogue.

Interests

I'm a photographer who loves shooting film, so if you're also a film shooter please say so! I shoot large format and medium format mostly, but 35mm and polaroids are also special to me. Outside of that, as a creative I make collages and admire other art forms.

Hobbies include horror movies, video games and motorized bicycles.

I would say music varies. Some examples include Black tusk, Mastodon, Kylesa, Baroness, Death grips, Swans, Crystal Castles, Preoccupations, Protomartyr, Angel Olsen, Sharon Von Etten, SOPHIE, Metronomy, Young Fathers and so much more!

Movies, whew! Where do I start? I love classic horror and new ones. The thing, They Live, Evil Dead, Mother!, Jacob's Ladder. Also enjoy other genres and movies like No country for old men, Lucky, Interstellar, The Big Lebowski.

Have nothing to speak of right now, but I hope that I will be able to fill this out once I get some traveling experiences under my belt.

I can teach you almost anything you'd like to know about film photography. I'd like to think my experience is enough to provide most information asked. I'd love to make a portrait of those kind enough to host me! With regards to learning, I'm open to all learning experiences. If it's an art technique I'd be grateful.
