About Me

CURRENT MISSION

build beautiful and sustainable houses

ABOUT ME

I live in Groton, VT and work as a timber framer. Before that I lived on the coast and was a fisheries biologist. Things are beautiful but rural around here, but you are welcome to stop by.

I enjoy playing my fiddle, hiking, and building things.

I've couchsurfed in Tasmania (and the rest of Australia), New Zealand, Austria, Czech, Oregon, Washington, California, Iceland, Hawaii, Scotland, and probably some other places I'm forgetting.

PHILOSOPHY

If there is something you would like to do, go out and make it happen.

"He who far and wide does roam,
sees many things not known at home;
and he who many things has seen,
has wits about him and senses keen."
~'The Old Woman and the Tramp,' Swedish folk tale.

"He who buy land buys many stones.
He who buys meat buys many bones.
He who buys eggs buys many shells;
but he who buys grog buys nothing else"
~supposedly an 'Irish proverb'

"And presidents
And billionaires
And generals
They'll never know
What I have owned!
What I have owned...
I'm a wanderlust king!"
