ABOUT ME

We are married couple for one year. We met and lived in Brooklyn NY for the past seven years. We love our city and quite proud being from there. Deirdre has a green thumb and gardens in our backyard while Brian likes to drink cheap beer and listen to the Yankees on the radio. We are both active runners having both run the NYC marathon, while Brian is going to run Boston, Deirdre has officially hung up her trainers. We are currently traveling through Latin America learning Spanish and looking forward to getting to New Zealand to speak English again.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Before CS even existed, Brian, was basically couchsurfing through out Australia and New Zealand through friends of friends etc. The benefit was amazing as I got to see more and learn more from each location I was in. I have recipocated the kindness by opening up my own apartment in Brooklyn to many travellers I met during my own trips. Living in New York I know that I do see people again because it is a great destination that everyone should experience at least once. As stated above, we love our city and living in Brooklyn most travellers never make it to the best part of New York so that is what we can offer, a true New York neighborhood and experience.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Zero, none through this website, this our first time participating. However, as mentioned in the above section we have done this informally for years.

Interests

good movies, real movies like the Godfather and Lawerence of Arabia. Bob Marley and Toots and the Maytals. We like to check the Internet randomly at locations all over the world.
