PHILOSOPHY

More often than not people are saying to forget about the past- forget those who have wronged you- that each new day brings a new you- and so on and so on... But why should we really forget...

To me, you should never forget. Everyone you meet, every path you cross, every wrong you right, all the good and the bad that has come your way- makes who you are today. So why should you just throw it out, and forget it... it would be like forgetting who you are or where you came from.

Now, I'm not saying to dread on the past, let it hold you down- each day is a new opportunity to change, to grow, to improve. But never forget where you came from. Never forget those you've met. Whether positvely or negatively, every soul we come across shapes who we are and who we are to become.

Let the bad friends go. But never forget them, for they too have made you who you are and who you are to be.

Learn from your mistakes. But never forget that you made them.

Live in the present- but never forget your past or your future.

Know who you are, and who you want to be, but never forget how you got there.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I think it is awesome that there is a community of people from all over the world willing to open their homes to strangers. Being able to create a network of friends all over the world, to learn and grow from each other is just remarkable.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

While I have slept on many couches in my life, I have never been an "offical" couch surfer. But I do know how when I was younger how a person close to me, has many times, opened her couches, beds, floor, any nook and cranny of her apartment to complete strangers time and again. The stories and memories we have from her and those that have wandered in her place, are AMAZING. And I would love to be part of that again.

LIVING LIFE, monkeys, friends, STL CARDINALS, the zoo, science center, art museum, city museum, THE LOOP, movies, bubble tea, smoothies, parks, night time, people watching, PLAYING IN THE RAIN, stars, colouring, art, sledding, GOOD CONVERSATIONS with new people, paintball, puddle jumping, food, napping, poker, ROCKCLIMBING, pillow fights, bridges, skylines, sunsets and rises, snowboarding, MOTHER NATURE, videogames, boardgames, PHOTOGRAPHY... and the list goes on...

If I was to list all the books, music, movies that I'm interested in... well, you'd be reading that list for days. Let's just say, I'm open to giving anything new a chance, and while I may never wish to see that movie again, or listen to that song again, I'll always give it a chance.
