About Me

CURRENT MISSION

You only really care for what you love, and you can love only what you know. So I aim to know more and more our world and all its inhabitants - humans and non-humans, living and not living, in order to better care for it.

PHILOSOPHY

I think our civilization is reaching a turning point. This is already being said for a while, but I think deadlines for a change in paradigm are getting closer and closer. And what I'm doing presently, besides keep learning more and more about Nature and Men, is adopting in my lifestyle a most simple possible way of living. Reducing, Reusing, Recycling.

Interests

Nature itself, and also its relations with humankind.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies... too many! Bergman, Chaplin, Scorsese, Fritz Lang, and others that are not occurring to me right now, were always favorites. More recently, as I'm more and more concerned with the state of our planet, I'm watching more documentarys. Always loved Attenborough's.
A beautiful movie is "La Belle Vert".
Books... also too many! From the fantastic latin american literature to science fiction... Garcia Marques to Philip Dick, I guess I read almost everything. Right now I've just finished a C.S.Lewis trilogy (Perelandra, etc) and started to dive into "The Silent World" (1943) of Cousteau. And came home very excited a few days ago as I have found in a used-books bookstore, for less than a dollar, a first paperback edition of "The Double Helix" by James Watson!
Music. Humans are already too noisy. Recently I'm more into the sounds of nature - the splash of the waves, the singing of free-flying birds, the sound of a storm approaching, the rain, the thunders. But I do love Bach. Amd Rameau. And Vivaldi. Speaking of which I turned on the radio and a most extraordinary music is playing...!
