About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live in the present. Create depth. Be compassionate. Love.

ABOUT ME

I am friendly, easy going, spontaneous, and love meeting new people.

PHILOSOPHY

Stand out from the crowd, complain less, live more, ask questions, stretch, laugh, breath, keep exploring. Care as if everything depends on your caring.

Interests

The outdoors is where I gather energy and find peace. I am a California girl at heart, and had to do some serious adjusting when I moved to Washington DC. Hiking, traveling, beach bumming, gardening, cooking, eating, learning, and being with the people I love are essentials for what I consider pura vida.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

More awing experiences have happened in my life than I can count; from my travels, to the beautiful places I've lived, to the incredible people I've encountered.

Growing up on the central coast of California, I was completely awe struck the first time I felt warm ocean water. When I was young, I dreamed of sinking my feet into silky soft white sand, as crystal blue waves lapped the shore, and plunging myself into the bath temperature ocean water. From the shores of Kauai, to the islands of Thailand, to the southern beaches of Mexico, the experience is always exhilarating.

An anecdotal story to share...
The other day I was walking through the woods, and I heard this low rustle among the leaves. I thought there was someone or something there, but when I stopped and looked there was nothing. Continuing down the path, the sound grew louder, and I realized it was the wind blowing through the thick layers of dried leaves on the ground. When I looked again, the ground appeared to be moving as one large organism and speaking to me. I know... it sounds crazy, but the moment was one of those that made me pause and think about the power and awe of the natural world.

Teach, Learn, Share

Each day you have exactly the same number of minutes as Aristotle, Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Mother Teresa, Gandhi, Mozart, Einstein, Galileo...
Think on that.
