CURRENT MISSION

I love new places and new people. I enjoy large groups to some extent but prefer one to one or small groups. I am fascinated by people, their dreams, hopes, aspirations, opinions, and everything else. My mission is just to travel to as many amazing places as possible and meet really cool people.

ABOUT ME

I like hiking, visiting National Parks and hanging out in nature, kayaking, swimming, frisbee, volleyball, riding my bike, spending time with friends, and making new ones.

PHILOSOPHY

My philosophy is to be myself and let others do the same. I am not judgmental and feel that I get the best version of a person by just encouraging them to be comfortable in their own skin and I try to do the same. I don't care if you eat meat or not, what race you are, what religion you are, or about any of that stuff. I also don't care how old you are. I have friends that are 6 all the way up to 80! I enjoy meeting people with an open mind and a youthful spirit. I enjoy getting to know who a person really is and learning from their point of view and perspective on life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I try to host when I can but here is the deal: I MUST HAVE A FEW WEEKS NOTICE. I'm not in town sometimes and I don't always log onto the site so please do not send me a last minute request. I actually have a 100% response rate if you take out the people who request at the last minute and I do respond to EVERYONE but I guess CS doesn't count responses sent after the request dates? Again I do NOT host during the week at all. I can host starting Friday evenings to Monday mornings. I work from home and start working at 8am so you will need to be gone by then:) My place is small so it's just super hard to work with anyone around (which is why it's hard to find roommates in Tahoe even though I would prefer to live in community with others).

I'm on couchsurfing because it's fun to meet people who like to travel and who are fun to hang out with.

Also my address cannot be verified :( It sucks but US Postal service does NOT deliver to my apartment. It's a Tahoe thing. I don't get it but the only way I get mail is to a PO Box.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My experience is limited because I always had roommates that I had to run things by. But I have hosted when I can (when the rooms were not rented). I hosted Sarah from Alaska and it was awesome! She did a drawing class for me and some of my friends:) I have been traveling and will be able to host again after August 1. I am looking forward to meeting new people and helping them experience South Lake Tahoe! I live in one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Interests

Again, I am interested in people and just hanging out and getting to know them. I love frisbee, hiking, kayaking, and traveling. I want to do some white water rafting this year.

Music, Movies, and Books

I know this sounds cliche but I like pretty much anything that is done well. I like dystopian literature for reading. I like most movies except scary ones. I don't do scary movies. Also drama is fine but I usually watch something funny right after.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share a meal (either by cooking one or taking them out to dinner). I can share my knowledge of South Lake Tahoe and some of the National Parks out here in Cali. I can share card games, some drinks (I'm not a huge partier), and some games. I can share some stories of my travels, my frisbee, and love animals so I will always be very kind to your pets if you have any!
