I am a curious, outgoing and friendly person with a longing for seeing and learning new things, meeting new people and having fun crossing of my bucket list (as I'm also filling it with more things along the way). I love fighting prejudices and finding myself surprised after having tried new things or met new people who I already had a preconceived idea about.

I joined couchsurfing to reach out for a more genuine and fun experience while travelling and experienceing new places and to meet interesting people along the way. Later on I would like to be a host as well, however it is not possible right now.

Interessi

Travelling, daydreaming (about travelling) and also reading (travel articles). I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I like movies, reading, debates about societal issues. I love nature and mountains, I'm interested in trekking, horseback riding and in general beautiful views. I love animals, in spite of some allergies.

I listen to a lot of varied music, enjoy reading and love going to the cinema!

Sold and Little Princes are two extremely touching books, both Nepal-related. (Really everyone should read Sold, it's a heavy but important subject; human sex trafficking. Written so it's easily read.)

- Worked with teaching Swedish for immigrants/refugees coming from Syria, Eritrea and Afghanistan

A special one; when the earthquake struck Nepal on the 25th of April this year (2015), I was there.
The earthquake was nothing but a terrible thing, but the things that happened after; the generousity, the solidarity among people, both travelers and locals, coming together, was beautiful to see.
I stayed to volunteer and became one of the first responders; we helped clear rubble, we helped building bamboo houses in villages, we gave tarpaulins away. In return we were offered huge plates with daal bhat (I can't believe I'm still uncertain about the spelling?) and so much gratitude, warmth and smiles.

SO what was so amazing, was getting to know the Nepalese people, seeing them so strong and still so giving and generous during these hard times, and seeing how strong the will to help was among the volunteer community. Had so much fun and learnt a lot by volunteering. I treasure each and every person I met during the 6 weeks I spent in Nepal!
