ABOUT ME

Kindhearted (boyfriend often disagrees ;-) and interested in other people, rather happy with my life as it is. I live in Utrecht, just as my boyfriend does. I've always loved doing sports, especially tennis. Recently I've started my own business as a ZenTennis coach - the inner approach in learning to play good tennis (www.zentennis.nl).

PHILOSOPHY

I think it's important to do things in your life that are appropriate. In my life music is important: I like to hear music or play it myself; that makes me happy. I love to be outside, in my garden, or in the woods. I think it's very important and urgent that people treat nature well.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As CS-Beginners, we've greatly enjoyed the exchange during our trip to Rheinland-Pfalz and Baden-Baden, april-may 2012. So that's how we've become CS-enhousiasts.

Those of you not demanding a 'Hotel-service-level' could be hosted for a couple of days. If you'd like to enjoy some of the nature around Utrecht, we'll gladly show you around, ie if we find the time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I guess we're now 'post-beginners' at CS. We only have CS-experience in the surfing respect, no experience at all (yet) in the hosting respect.

兴趣

Meeting people and getting to know them.

Music. Playing the piano and singing. I am member of a womenchoir and sometimes we give a concert.

Nature. My boyfriend and I like to walk in the woods and along the beach.

Meditation. At a regular basis we do some formal mindfulness meditation.

Cat(s). Both of us love pets so we intend adopting a young cat from a local asylum this year.

音乐、电影和书籍

I love to read books, especially merry books. I am very enthousiastic about the programs of the Dog Whisperer on TV. I look at those programs almost daily, to learn about the coaching of dogs and people! What I learn in those programs maybe I can use in my work as a zentenniscoach.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Travelling with a group I was in Rome, and it was so nice to be there in such a big city, with so many beautiful old buildings, such a delicious food, so beautiful people...

In Greece we were invited to attend a marriage of a dutch boy and a greek woman in Athens. It was very special to be there with my brother,my cousin and his wife,and several other friends, sitting on the roof of a hugh house in Greece. We were sitting on one long table with the Greek family, eating from a pig that was roasted on the roof,singing Greek songs.

On Santorini,one of the Greek Cycladen, I was sleeping on the roof of a youth hostel, lying on a bed without matrass, in the open air. It was fantastic!

I am a ZenTennis teacher, so be sure to you have rackets and a tennispartner: I can teach you tennis. In developing your musical improvisational talent, you might enjoy some musical coaching by my boyfriend.
