Two years ago I decided to change career paths and try something new. I was a burned-out Social Worker and I knew I didn't want to do that the rest of my life. I am now a digital film major in the Creative Media Institute at NMSU. I have three awesome dogs and live with my brother and a room mate.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm ready to travel the country following film jobs, but a lot of these jobs pay very little or not at all. As a student, I need to gain as much experience in the film industry as possible. I need to network, intern, and volunteer at film festivals. To keep down the cost of room and travel, I am hoping to couch surf with awesome people that can show me the city I'm visiting and share their life experience.

Interests

I definitely love watching movies ALL THE TIME. Aside from that, I enjoy the outdoors, hiking, yard work, hanging with my dogs. I don't know how to swim but I love the ocean.

Music, Movies, and Books

I also love live music. I am a huge country music fan, but I think that all live music is awesome. I'm mostly reading SciFi stories for my english class these days. I am also keeping up with the Game of Thrones book series and TV show.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was raised in a very sheltered home environment, at the age of 17 I decided I had enough and left home. I purchased a one way Greyhound ticket from El Paso, Tx. to Chicago and finished school on my own and without any family support.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share all of my film set experiences and my film knowledge. I would love to learn how to dance, any kind of dance really lol.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my home-cooked meals. I make pretty awesome enchiladas and Mexican rice. I can also share my culture and the crazy/funny family stories.
