Hi!

My name is Bec and I am a bubbly and warm person who loves meeting new people. I have been working as a Physiotherapist for the last 4 years in the hospital system and have decided to take a year off to travel. I am starting my travels in September 2022, traveling around parts of Australia, before heading to NZ in November. The bulk of my travel will be through Latin America, starting in the south of Chile in January 2023.

I grew up in Newcastle (2 hours from Sydney), lived in Sydney for 3 years and then Hobart (Tasmania) for the last year. More than happy to share any local knowledge of the area, especially for Tasmania - such a special place.

When it comes to hobbies - I am a yes girl! I can do a little bit of most things, but nothing particularly well. I love multi-day hiking, swimming, diving (scuba and free diving), paddle boarding and surfing (falling). I also dabble in slack-lining, skateboarding, skiing, painting, piano and climbing.

I love meeting people. My most enjoyable travel experiences have been staying with locals, getting to know knew people and seeing a more authentic version of the local I am traveling through (not a tourist view!).
I will be travelling for as long as my money allows me, so am looking to travel as cheaply as I can. That being said, its not all take and no give! I love cooking for people, and would love to be able to contribute to meals where I am staying.
Also very willing to help your sore knee/back/neck/wrist etc with my Physiotherapy background.
I have worked with kids for years - I worked in childcare for school aged kids throughout my studies and have worked as a kid physio for the last 6 months. I love kids and am very confident taking care of them, and therefore are happy to offer such services!
