About Me

To explore my creative side further!

Naturally shy but very curious about the world and the people in it, I bought a one-way ticket to Europe last year and pushed myself to do many crazy things including hitchhiking, interviewing famous DJs at festivals, sleeping in the wild sans tent, and of course couchsurfing!

Now I'm back in Sydney continuing my studies, saving for the next adventure, and creating an amazing support network of friends and collaborators along the way.

I am passionate about gender politics and race issues, and love having conversations about philosphy, literature, emotionality and the travel mindset.

Still figuring that one out. Always happy to hear other people's and share the pieces of mine I've got so far.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

surfing, going to weekly meetings and other events, being part of the CS camp at Sziget, and going to a regular book club in Sydney run by a CSer.

Camping with a bunch of other CSers at for a week in Sziget Festival 2014 in Budapest, which included *tent*-surfing through CS. Had so many memorable experiences, including meeting two people who were moving to Sydney later that year. They are now two of my closest friends <3.

Informal couchsurfing experiences have been great, especially through hitchhiking.

Adventure, sanity optional. Having deep, philosophical and/or ridiculous conversations with total strangers and lifelong friends. Feminism. Vegetarian.

Music, Movies & Books

Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes, Jinja Safari, Bonobo, Jamie MacDowell and Tom Thum.

Books: My favourite author is Jeanette Winterson, especially her book The Passion. I'm also an avid reader of science fiction, especially CJ Cherryh, Phillip K. Dick and William Gibson.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

hitchhiking the 740 km from Turin to Paris in one day was pretty fun :D
