Hi! I'm Becca from Detroit, MI, USA. I love to travel, so much that I've been to about 13 countries. I am fluent in German and lived there for 6 months as part of a study abroad. Reading is one of my hobbies and I also like to crochet.

Food and culture is a passion of mine and usually traveling allows me to experience one through the other. I love meeting new people and gaining new insights and experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel and since I'm still on a student's budget this is a great medium. I'm new to couch surfing, but I love meeting new people and getting to know a city from a local's point of view. I think this will be a great way to travel.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a fan of Harry Potter and love to keep up on popular books, I am currently reading Gone Girl. I also love the Hunger Games and my favorite book is "And Then There Were None" by Agatha Christie.

I generally lean towards Comedies, and Chick Flicks when choosing movies, but I'm open to all genres, except Horror.

For music I like pretty much everything from Classic Rock to Rap, but generally not country.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share travel tips and experiences through my travels through Europe. I also have a memory that tends to only remember nonsense, like that a giraffe's tongue is purple so it doesn't get sunburned, rather than what's going to be on the next test, so I usually know a fun fact or two.
