Hello!

I just graduated from the University of Washington with an environmental degree. Before I go to graduate school, I wanted to spend some time seeing the world. I'm always up for an adventure; whether it's across the street or around the world. I'm a big hiker and outdoor enthusiast, and love anything alive. In my spare time, I oil paint and sing, cook and just enjoy taking it easy.

I'm looking for a way to travel that's cheaper and more connected to the locations. The idea of staying with locals and getting their perspective is fantastic. I haven't really had the availability to travel much, but these last six months have been wild! So I'm reaching to new venues and jumping into the deep end. Seeing what the world really does have to offer!

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

My music is all over the board. I have a true love for classical and opera. However, nothing can take away from the ability to sing along to a tune on the radio or belt out some memory-inspired song with your friends. From acoustic to alternative, blues to rap, I've found an appreciation for it all.

I am a HUGE reader. Just about the only thing I collect are books I've read and learned like old friends. From thinkers like Nietzsche to naturalists like Muir, comedians like Aziz Anisari to fantasy of Tolkien, I just get so swept away.

Movies is going to be the same answer. I love documentaries, especially on serious topics like Human Flow and anything by the BBC. I love to laugh, I love to learn, and I love to see new things. All time favorite will always be Jurassic Park (the original). Nothing beats a true childhood classic.

I have actually done a couple of things I think are amazing! How about that?! :)

In May, I was actually in Madagascar. I think that's amazing. A lifetime dream come true. I generally am not a fan of primates, but I have to say lemurs are just about the best things! I remember the sunset up at Nosy-Be at the northern tip, watching this red-ruffed lemur run back and forth and scare all the tourists. I fell in love with their long, fluffy tails from that moment on.

Yes, yes, and yes. I love teaching. About the environmental stuff I've learned from school, about chemistry or physics or anything I have to offer. Composting to animal husbandry, wildlife care to baking. I love teaching!

Equally, I have things to teach because I love to learn. I'm ok with being wrong (and I am frequently) and I'm always willing to change my perspective and opinion if given the right evidence.

I will share everything I have, as long as I have the ability to do so. Whether it's the chores or the bills, I am always willing to do my part to make the paradigm work.

Well. Having just graduated, 'cheap' barely begins to describe my mentality right now. Beyond that, I will share absolutely everything I have to offer. My time, my effort, my knowledge, my support. I'm always a fan of conversations and good company. I can always offer that. I can also do any chores to make my stay less intrusive, and I can also head out and explore if privacy is required. I'm an open and honest person.
