ABOUT ME

I'm a bit of a European cliche - an EFL teacher wanna be writer/photographer/audio book reader/sock knitter/cyclist/rock climber...

I'm "settled" (-ish) now in Chambery doing the work thing, waiting for the next chance to get out and explore the world!

A quick note on the boyfriend, as he lives here too, Sylvain's was an environmental educator in Paris for 3 years, and is now doing similar work here in Chambery. Before that he traveled across Europe, the Middle-East and No. Africa with an association, then spent 6 months saving turltes in Madagascar. He also likes to ski.

I love meeting people through CS...It's so great to be in a foreign city and be able to get a real taste of it with someone who lives there.

Music, Movies, and Books

For books I love the classics, but "Into the Wild" made a big impression on me. Also love non-fiction, especially the historical kind. Movies, I love so many, I don't even know where to start. Alice in Wonderland and the Last Unicorn? I say yes. Music, I love Dave Matthews, David Bowie, Regina Spektor, Tori Amos, Muse, Radiohead, ...it's a long list I suppose. I never know what to put in these sections...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first back country camping experience was this summer, just next to THE tallest tree in the world. It was scary (bears!), but GREAT.

I would love to learn about astronomy. I could teach people English or about writing, photography, or cooking, and maybe some other things....
