Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I try to host people as much as I can despite my busy schedule. I love taking visitors out to see some of the lesser known parts of the city or to my favorite places to taste some awesome beers and bar snacks. I also make a wicked bloody mary :)

IF YOU WANT TO SURF ON MY COUCH PLEASE SEND A COUCH REQUEST NOT A MESSAGE. this helps me to keep my couch surfing organized. I probably wont host you if you send me a message.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started couch surfing in the summer of 2011. It was a great experience and I also learned a lot about the culture of couch surfing.

Quotes acquired in my travels:

"Always know that you are worth more than you feel"

"Whoever saves one life saves the entire world"

While in India my friend told me a story. Its kind of long but it has a great message:

There was once a man and a son. The father asked his son to go out and find some friends. The son went out and meet hundreds of friends and came back and told his father. His father asked his son if his friends were true friends and if they would die for him. He was sure that all of his friends would. His father explained. "Son, I only have one and a half friends." The son didn't understand how he had one and a half friends. So the father brought the son to meet his friends.

Before they went to their houses the father had the son go in the back and slaughter a pig and put it in a sack. then they went to the half friends house. When the friend opened the door the father said "My son has murdered a man can you please help us!" the half friend took them in and hid them. Some one had actually seen them with a bloody bag and called the police on them. When the police arrived at the house the half friend snuck them out the back and told the police he didn't know anything.

Next they went to the Whole friends home. when he answered the door the father said the same thing "My son has murdered a man can you please help us!" The friend took them in and took the sons bloody clothes and put them on himself. When the police arrived the friend told the police that he had murdered the man. They took him and only after they had shown the officials that it was only a pig did they release him. And the father said, "Do you see now what it means to be a true friend?"
