ABOUT ME

I have recently graduated University in Lethbridge with a B A Sc in Psychology and Political Science. I love learning languages and spent last year as an English teacher's aid in Trois Rivieres, Quebec! I was very excited about this as I got to meet new people as well as improve my French! This year my plan is Japan! I plan to get into the JET Programme or an equivalent and move there! Japanese is my next target language!

Right now I am an Assistant Professor in an ESL department!

I am also an avid activist and volunteer. I volunteer with Amnesty International as well as the Canadian Red Cross!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Anywhere I go or move to I always meet up with some couchsurfers. This is a great little community to tap into! Especially when you need to make friends. When I moved to Kelowna I knew no one, the people of couchsurfing there were awesome. They invited me out with them and their friends and made me feel welcome. I just want to return the favour for other members!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I took the opportunity to couch surf in California and I was glad I did. The person I stayed with was helpful and generous! I had a great time.

I love to read! And watch movies, right now I am addicted to Jane Austin...in novels and movies. And don't get me started on music. I listen to everything from Edith Phiaf to Taylor Swift.

I see amazing things everywhere! I think the view in Kelowna is amazing and I admire it everyday. I find anywhere i live there is an amazing view. Currently I am living in Lethbridge, AB and the view of the Coulees is amazing in the summer. It almost resembles Ireland!

I think everyone is a teacher and a student. We never stop learning. And why would we want to?! If I had a couch I would definately show people around and teach them Canadian culture if they are not from here and if they are then I would teach them how to....knit lol.
