Oh hi there! I am a 23 year old from the UK.

I've got an open mind and big heart, with a passion for helping people. This has led me to a career within mental health and learning disability services. But I also have a love for travel, art and music. There is nothing better than getting lost in the streets of a new town, or chatting to other travellers and listening to their stories. Currently I am taking a year out to explore the coasts of Australia and the depths of Southeast Asia. I hope to meet some truly wonderful individuals along the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travelling is turning into a real passion of mine; to explore new places and to learn how to live like a local. Soon I will be travelling across the world and would love to learn about local traditions, food and music. I am new to couch surfing, but please don't let that put you off! I am excited to meet new people during my travels.

NOT CURRENTLY IN THE COUNTRY (In return, I am happy to meet with people in the Derbyshire (UK) area and show you around. I live in the south of the Peak District, which has stunning landscapes and quaint pubs. Unfortunately I cannot offer hosting at the moment, due to living in shared housing. But I would love to host one day!)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Anything goes. Genre doesn't really matter too much; having tastes across a range of musicians. As long as the vibe is good, I am happy to listen. This year I have enjoyed watching Iron Maiden, Hawkwind and Son of Man perform live. But just to give some examples, I also love the likes of The Shins, Kids in Glass Houses and Tool, among many many more. Definitely open to hearing recommendations, as I am always on the hunt for some new listening materials.

Books: Who isn't a Harry Potter fan these days? But also love a lot of the classics. Including Austen, Bronte and Dickens. David Copperfield was a fantastic read and is definitely up there among my favourites. Recently been getting into Thriller/Crime books, discovering the likes of Stephen King and James Patterson for the first time.

First class banter and a good time! Willing to share travel tips for the UK and try new activities! Also absolutely love to cook and would be more than happy to share the cooking with my host family.
