ABOUT ME

I love adventures, especially the brilliant, shiny, spontaneous, overlooked ones - the small just as much as the large. I think they make the world go round......... so bring them on, life!

I think you are never to old to blow bubbles, climb trees, or do cartwheels.

Jim Henson is a personal hero of mine - I watch old sesame street clips online when I'm feeling blue.

I'm back on Maui now after some years traveling and teaching English in Spain and Europe. Oh, and a few year jaunt living and learning in Houston, TX. I sometimes live in Ashland Oregon too.

I'm married to a delightful Texan whom I met while teaching english in Spain. We created and produce a podcast together.

I am passionate about helping people connect to themselves, each other, and the wisdom of nature.

Stayed with some wonderful CS hosts in Belgium =)
Met some lovely people in Madrid
Just CSed my way through a smattering of France

All experiences have been Great. I feel so lucky for the people I have met, and the things i have been able to see and do through CS

Unlegit CS experience: when I went to Paris I was taken in by the nicest, most gracious Parisian woman. I didn't even mean to stay in Paris for more than two hours. But we began to talk on the train there, and I guess she liked me and found me to be a good person because she invited me back to her place for breakfast... and I didn't leave for another 3 days. She made me feel like her house was my house, and wanted me to stay for as long as I'd like. It was one of the most amazing and culturally and personally rewarding experiences of my life.

Interests

Theatre (especially the kind with moments so good you nearly forget to breath), Social Artistry, Using art to influence positive solutions that put people and planet before profit, different cultures. Storytelling, Hawaiiana, Puppetry, Mime, Dancing, Good Conversation, Traveling, Spontaneity, Camping, Spontaneous Camping, Storytelling, Meeting People, Wandering Around Cities, Eating Ice Cream in the Snow, Stars, Trying New Things, Laughing at Nothing, Regenerative Gardening and Permaculture, Nature, Hiking, Rain, Storytelling, Mini Adventures.... that's a good start.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

During college, I convinced a good friend of mine to go on a crazy road trip with me from Chicago to Park City Utah for the Sundance Film Festival. It was a 22 hour, 1400 mile drive. We left Thursday morning, and got back Tuesday morning (I had class at noon). We didn't really know where we were going to stay, or what to expect (Especially since this was the middle of January and we are both warm weather girls who had little experience driving in the snow...)

I'm headed to Louisville Kentucky because I'm a coordinator for a Creative Place Making Initiative on Maui. That's a long story but definitely amazing.

Needless to say I think that weekend for both of us was one of the best of our lives.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you about the culture and life in Hawaii from my perspective. I can hopefully share some good conversation, and am great at asking story based questions.

I love yoga/body wisdom practices, and love to share and learn more.

I can teach you about permaculture and social artistry.

Ill do my best to learn whatever you are offering to teach (whether you are aware of teaching it or not)
