About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Complete my bucket list, which probably includes meeting YOU!
ABOUT ME
It's hard to sit behind a computer screen and sum up all there is to know about me. In short, I love to learn. I crave adventure. I prefer to experience both in the context of relationships with others.
PHILOSOPHY
As the daughter of a philosophy professor, I stay away from philosophies for fear of being burned by vague, abstract, somewhat ancient boxes to place myself in.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Though I'm relatively new to CouchSurfers, I'm excited to have a new network of people through whom I can learn more about the world! Though we're not able to get out and travel as much as we'd like, my roommates and I are incredibly excited about hosting YOU and living vicariously through your travel experiences.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Though I haven't had a ton of "formal" couch surfing experience through CouchSurfers, my roommates and I have certainly stayed on enough friends' couches! We've even hosted a friend or two on our own couch... and we're always looking for new CouchSurfing friends to add to the list!
Interests
Were I to expound on every interest of mine, we'd be here a while. So, VERY abridged and in list form: history, people watching, meteorology, gospel music, excellent beer, good cooking, Chicago, astronomy, ultimate frisbee, interior design, storm chasing, skiing, chinese fire drills, Jesus, a healthy sense of sarcasm, hiking, nostalgia, board games, cemeteries, cigars, spanish language, whoopie cushions, camp, sailing, lame jokes... and that's just me!
My roommates each have a list as long as their arms too, and are super cool-- together, we rarely turn on the TV but prefer to cook, create art, or just laugh together. Join us!

Music, Movies, and Books
It's A Wonderful Life to Milk to Mean Girls to Elf. Canadian Brass to Peter, Paul & Mary to Journey to Kanye. CS Lewis to Lowis Lowry to Ken Kesey to Dr. Seuss.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The single most amazing moment I can recall is the moment in which I witnessed a supercell thunderstorm that was once merely fluffy clouds drop the most gorgeous tornado imaginable in southeast Colorado. There must be a Creator, and He must be good. Words don't do it justice, and thus I will stop trying.
Teach, Learn, Share
It's true that the more you know, the more you don't know. Although I'd tend to say that I'm less than knowledgeable in the following areas, I might be able to tell you a thing or two about history or severe weather. I know how to navigate Chicago without getting lost, how to eat vegetarian without missing meat too much, and how to get really pissed at the state of Illinois for cutting funding to social services. In exchange, I'd love to hear what you know about your hometown. Tell me stories of your family. Do you know how to brew beer? Ever fixed a car? Please, share. :-)
