Hi! 👋 My name's Becks. Or Rebecca, depending on what language you're speaking 😅. I'm originally from the United States, but now I live in Peru with my Peruvian fiance. We met while traveling 🙈

I'm a spiritual person. I tried Buddhism, but I'm not sure I can call myself a Buddhist anymore because I like to have a drink every now and then 😬 My teacher was very strict, so I took a step back from Buddhism. And now I teach meditation to everyday people because I think everyone deserves to have access to that tool 👩‍🏫

I am introverted, but also drawn to adventure. I've done some hitchhiking in South America, some waterfall jumping, and generally say yes to new experiences and go with the flow as long as I don't think death is imminent (sky diving is a no.)

I also love to dance! 💃 Since living in Peru, salsa has of course infiltrated my life. But I'm always excited to learn new styles and experience how other cultures move.

My life has totally upturned after moving to Peru. Before I had my first backpacking adventure, I went to school for both music and environmental science. I worked for a few years as a marine cartographer, mapping the coastal oceans of the US for the government.

Now, I spend a lot of time with my partner building a house and a hotel in Peru that will hopefully provide for our future travels.

I like to dance, share stories, get out in nature, and see pieces of everyday life in new places. I'm interested in old architecture and local food. I do pole sport to stay strong-- it's like pole dance, but it's focused on calisthenics.
