I wrote a book called Mapping Manhattan in which I asked strangers to fill out blank maps of the island with their dreams, their memories, their personal stories of what makes Manhattan special to them. I'm now at work on a few other projects, but I'm happiest when traveling, speaking foreign languages, and meeting new people.

I once made a documentary of a road trip I took with my best friend in which we gave out a quarter of a million pairs of socks and drove from Portland to LA through San Francisco, Salt Lake City and Las Vegas.
