I grew up in New Jersey about 20 miles outside of New York City. In 2015, after suffering 35 winters, my family and I moved to the Orlando area for a brand new start (and to enjoy year-round sunshine).
My passion for travel developed a little later in life, after spending most of my youth staying pretty close to home and then about 8 years of a fear of flying. Since then, I've decided my world needed to expand, so now I travel whenever I get a chance!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My goal, like many others, is to travel as much as possible. To keep travel affordable, I want to expand my methods, and Couchsurfing offers the opportunity to meet new people and travel on a budget!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Dave Matthews Band, I try to see them whenever they're in town. I would actually like to start traveling to see them in the future when the opportunity presents itself.

I don't watch a lot of movies, honestly, but I do love The Office and Parks & Rec. If I am going to watch a movie, my favorite type would be suspense or horror (but not too gory).

I love to eat and though I would like to say I'm fairly adventurous, I'm probably much less so than others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I knelt at Normandy Beach and prayed for peace, that was pretty powerful. Also doesn't seem my prayers worked, but I tried!

Teach, Learn, Share

I work with recruiters all day long, I love to talk about interviewing techniques and best practices for resumes. I never hesitate to share what I've learned with others!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am sort of an ambivert - I'm both introverted and extroverted. I enjoy chatting and sharing my life with others, but I also value quiet time and recharging my batteries. If you feel like a chat, I'm in! If you need some quiet time, I'm happy to pull out a book or go out and do a little solo wandering. I do try to feel out my hosts and do what I can to be a considerate guest.
