Hello! I am Becky-- and the guy in the picture with me is my husband Izaak! We recently moved to Saint Paul, Minnesota to pursue graduate degrees at the University of Minnesota. We used to live in a tiny town of 1500 people. We were both teachers there! I was a music teacher, and taught 4-12 grade band and 9-12 choir. Izaak taught grades 3-5 and helped teach my high school drumline. We love culture, music, food, people, just about everything. We are always looking for places to travel and explore the culture. We love good food, good wine, and good people!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are new to couchsurfing! But we are VERY excited!!! When we travel, we want to actually get to know the culture and the people! Sure, the touristy stuff can be fun, but it doesn't really tell you what a place is like. This lets you meet real people and see what life there is like! Making new friends is something we both love to do. Plus, if we ever have the chance, we can open our home too. (Right now it's not really an option, but hopefully soon!)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Being a Drum Major of a College Marching Band!! That was an incredible experience. We traveled and performed all over the place!
