About Me

CURRENT MISSION

is to make it through uni - so I can once again put on my travelling boots and experience the world!

ABOUT ME

I'm a 21 y/o whos finally started living my dream of travelling. I first completed a few months around europe, during which I saw 18 countries. Def not enough time to absorb and appreciate the individual and vastly different cultures, history, cusine and architecture of each place - but when time and money places its constraints - you have to make do.

I love life, experiencing new things.. I enjoy going out and meeting new people, but Im also perfectly happy with my own company. I think Im happiest when Im travelling, or on the beach with friends.

I'm living at home with my family, trying to save for the next trip. Which isnt too bad, i got lucky and scored the best sisters and parents around. (apart from the fact i have to keep my room under lock and key so they stop stealing my clothes!)

PHILOSOPHY

I never want to have regrets... I think the most important thing we are given in life is time... and I always try to make the most of every second were given.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm yet to host anyone since Ive only just settles back down, but I did my fair share of surfing over in Scotland and Ireland.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Fairly seasoned, but still want to experience a lot more! Couch surfing has changed my view on travelling forver! Its the best way to explore a new town or place, and you meet so many amazing people.

Like anything, there are the homes and people you never want to leave, and then some that are just a lil different, but in the end its all part of what makes this such a unique experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

Jodi Piccoult, Bryce Courtenay and Jane Austen are three of my favourite authors.
Music - I love indi, alternative and Brit pop... bands like vampire weekend, the wombats, the black kids, jack johnson.. Still have a soft spot for the old school punk that I used to listen to in high school though like yellow card and rise against.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When in Switzerland, I finally worked up the balls (some would say madness) to conquer my fear and sky dive. It wasn't until we were 14,000 feet up, looking out past glaciers and the breathtaking scenery of the Alps, with my legs hanging off the side of the helicopter.. that I realised.. I had to jump out. Nothing I have felt, or am likely to feel, will be as exhillerating, scary, amazing and leave me such satisfaction as those few seconds.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn everything there is about a place, life and the people in it.
If I could pass on any valuable lesson in life, its that it is short. And we only really get the one shot - never let the fear stop you from living your dreams.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, New Zealand, Serbia, Switzerland, Vatican City State
