About Me

Hello! I am an artist currently living in Edinburgh, Scotland having finished my Masters degree in Environmental Art last year. In a few weeks I am embarking on my first solo travelling adventure! I grew up in Wiltshire, England amongst the countryside and all the many trees. I love relaxing and being outdoors, especially finding those secret spots in cities. I have lived in Edinburgh for nearly two and a half years now, and it is finally time to get out of the UK and see the world! Sustainability and climate action are at the top of my agenda, so I have decided to become Flight Free this year. I will be travelling by via car, train, bus and ferry. This adventure will take me to Greece, to volunteer for a month with an amazing refugee charity. I really really love food, cooking and eating-especially vegan!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm about to start my travels to Greece from England, and I'd love to meet new people in the cities I will be stopping over in, to get a local's perspective of the area! I will be travelling via bus and ferry through Bologna, Brindisi and Thessaloniki. As I'm travelling by myself, I'd love to be able to meet up or stay with anyone that would have time to show me the best bits of the city!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love listening to music, especially at music festivals! I'm a fan of a lot of genres, but at the top are electronic, funk and soul. I've got a real soft spot for Classical music too, especially when I'm looking to relax.
I also love reading-I can't go a day without spending a bit of time reading a book. My favourite books to read are fiction. However I've just finished reading a memoir called 'Educated', about a Mormon girl who decides to leave her family traditions and go to University-I highly recommend!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think I am about to embark on the most amazing thing I've ever done. I can't wait to see all these cities and countries travelling by bus and train, meeting lots of new people and most importantly volunteering my time to give aid to refugees.

Teach, Learn, Share

All things art! I love making art and seeing art, and chatting about it too. I also love living sustainably, whether that is changing the way I live day to day, or repairing and making my own clothes. I can teach anyone how to fix a sock!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd love to meet new people and really get to know their city and culture. I have a lot to say about sustainability and anything creative, and can share all my experience of Scottish culture that I've come across the past two years!

Countries I’ve Visited
