About Me
New to couchsurfer! I've been traveling for a good while now, but since going abroad for the first time in the past couple of years, I have heard great stories about couchsurfer. I figure I'll give it a try now!
I consider myself a student of the world, always eager to learn and explore! Right now I am in Den Haag, Netherlands for an internship as a part of my degree in Industrial Design. I love to travel and experience new places and cultures but also to meet new people and have good conversation ::) I am someone who gets excited at hanging out alongside good company but also enjoys time to myself. I like to run, play basketball, read, and write, and rock climb to name a few things, but I would say I am a hobbyist with not enough time for everyhthing. I also like to fish and hike, and just spend time outside in general. I really enjoy movies and music. My favorite movie is probably Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and I really enjoy Blues, Jazz, and Rock and Roll ::)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on couchsurfing becasue I find myself traveling on a budget a lot. I'm still in school which makes it hard to save up and go on big trips but I'm a big believer in making it happen. Even when you have a small budget, I take it as a good challenge. I've heard through some friends that they have had some great experiences couch surfing so I figured I'd give it a try. For me it could be anywhere from just having a place to crash when in need, to meeting new people and getting a taste of a local experience.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last year I signed up for the Tall Ships races in the north sea with 11 strangers from Europe. For 3 weeks I sailed the sea with these people that eventually became good friends. We had some amazing experiences together, and still keep in touch to this day. I remember the first night, finding myself airborne and flying off of my bed from the 15m waves outside. I was sleeping at the front of the boat... I laughed and was also concerned at the crazy situation I found myself in. But I did not get seasick! I think I gained some respect after that.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach 3D modeling softwares such as Solidworks, and Rhino. I can teach how to Sketch with pen and paper. I can teach good English. I would love to learn more Spanish and Dutch and French! I also really want to learn how to sail. My old boss in the Outer Banks said he would teach me and he still continues to find opportunites where he can teach me, but I don't live there anymore so I'm always in search of more opportunities to learn how to sail.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share a good conversation but also I am willing and able to help with anything that needs to be done around the place during my stay! I am a clean and respectable guest that is very adaptable and friendly! I also can share a couch to surf on in the future, when I have one of my own!
