About Me

Updated ---- I am currently living in Korea.

CURRENT MISSION

1. Achieve PhD degree and make my dream of travelling through Asia come true.
2. Participating volunteer project in either Laos or Cambodia before keep doing my academic research.

ABOUT ME

I am open-minded, considerate, laid-back, determining, and humorous with a HUGE PASSION OF TRAVELLING AND LEARNING NEW THINGS. I am a kind of person who consistently pursues dreams, making them come true regardless of whatever prevents me from achieving my targets (at the moment, obtain PhD, and travelling for 1 year then). Do I regret if I have made wrong decision? Yes, I do regret (it's reality), but not pretty much. It s better to be responsible for every decisions by considering thoroughly. If it s wrong, learn from it, and crack it down.

MAKING FRIENDS, especially those at places where I have visited, through which I can uncover new things, learn a bit more about their local cultures and custom. For me, life is too short to just stick on something I have been too familiar with. Do travel, discover more, enjoy more, broaden our perspective more, and experience things which we are supposed to never experience in the whole life without travelling.

In addition to the huge love of travelling, I am really into all kinds of sports, especially BADMINTON, FOOTBALL, volleyball, swimming. Actually, I can play badminton and football pretty well. I am doing research right now, but still spare time to play badminton 3 times/week cuz I realize that by doing so my research performance has been boosted considerably.

Not only those physical sports, I can play chess (both international and Chinese version), PS3, Xbox (all about football, and play quite well-if you have PS3 or Xbox, I d love to have some friendly matches:D), card, and even gambling (rarely at the moment, but I did gamble when I was young).

What's more, I LOVE COOKING. If I am not busy, I will treat my guests some Vietnamese dishes which I recall from my mom (not always works) and learn from youtube.

I also love gardening because I love the moment when I harvest some ripe fruits in my garden (mango, watermelon...), and I LOVE BONSAI. My father loves it so much, so maybe I'm influenced by his passion.

Last but not least, did you take a look at my CS ID? it s "beer2612". It entirely explains what's else I am really into, right:D. I love beer, and drinking beer with friends. The best thing is nice friends to accompany and nice beer. I would be very pleasured if you guys bring me some beer then. Haha

PHILOSOPHY

To live is to fight.
Never give up because success will just nearby.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As I was searching for some books on the Internet, I coincidentally met a Vietnamese girl who then introduced me to Couch Surfing. Since then, I ve been on CS and become really into this project, finding lots of advantages from CS.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It s been almost 3 years participating in CS, meeting up with many friends, and having lots of unforgettable experiences. It s realized that CS is just not simply meeting up people, surfing or hosting, but more of sharing, learning, and cultivating your dream, love, and passion of exploring the world, opening your perspective to the horizon if possible:D

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to listen to your travelling experience or tips because they are very useful for me when I travel. In return, I gonna share with you what I ve experienced about life in Vietnam, and Korea. Maybe it s somehow useful for you as well.
I love cooking, and thus learning to cook some new specialties especially from your own country is awesome. I know how to cook, some Vietnamese dishes, some Pakistani learnt from my Pakistani friends. Cooking, to me, is considered a mirror of your custom and culture.

What I Can Share with Hosts

- I love cooking, so if I am allowed to use cookware, I WOULD LOVE TO COOK SOME VIETNAMESE SPECIALITIES FOR MY HOSTs as they are so hospitable to host me. If my host needs me to help them doing some house chores, gardening, or so, I wouldn't mind because I also love gardening.
- Actually I d prefer to spend time with my host because I did host many travellers when I was in Vietnam, and I preferred my guests to spend some time with me, other than just drop their backpack and leave. Come on, my place is not a hostel:)).
- However,I am an independent traveller, I can explore the city on my own unless my host is free and willing to show me around.
