Try to do more things outside my comfort zone.
The year was 1990, I was born as a cute chubby asian baby in Taipei. I wished I had something majestic to say about my time in Taiwan, but frankly I cannot remember much from that period.
I moved to Norway at the age of 6 and have been living here ever since. I´ve moved around a couple of times before eventually setting down in Oslo. I took my bachelor´s in American Studies with additional courses in world history.
As a typical liberal arts student, I soon realized that the job market has little interest in people like me.
I just recently quit my dead-end job and decided it was time for me to live life a little.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have to be honest, I have not been the most active member of the couch surfing community but I do try to improve.
My first couchsurfing experience was actually in my hometown. After a long night out I discovered that I missed the last bus home, and I couldn´t afford a taxi.
Like Blanche DuBois, I was fortunate enough to rely on the kindness of strangers. A stranger that I met earlier that night showed sympathy and offered her couch. At that time I had never heard of couchsurfing and that night she introduced me to this brilliant idea and the rest is history.
A few years later, when I was visiting my family in Taiwan, I had become awfully fed up of my relatives and I felt surprisingly lonely. I decided I needed to meet new people and I joined the couchsurfing community in Taipei. I ended up having a great time and gained a few friends.
I enjoy photography, however recently I haven´t been as active as I was pre-occupied with work. I used to do some street photography although I must say I never managed to be comfortable with the awkwardness that came with the hobby.
I play the ukulele. This was the result of me being too lazy to master the guitar. Although I have to admit it is a silly hobby, nonetheless there is much joy in that little instrument.
I also have a fascination of languages, accents and celebrity impersonations. I have spent too many nights trying out different accents as well as impersonations and so far the only one I can do vaguely well is Christopher Walken. Yeah I am silly like that.
I am currently planning on improving my Mandarin by studying it in Taiwan. I also wish to re-learn some Spanish. Thank god for Duolingo.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite musical acts include; Eagles of Death Metal, Queens of the Stone Age, The Black Keys, Major Lazer & Diplo, as well as older bands like CCR, Jimi Hendrix, The Beach Boys, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and the list goes on.
As far as movies go, I used to have quite a few favorite movies however I frankly cannot say that I can pick one specific movie with much conviction. The only one that stands out for me is probably Sofia Coppola´s Lost in Translation.
I also enjoy TV series, I am currently watching GoT, however my two favorite series of all time are Mad Men and The Wire.
Although I don´t actively read a lot of books, however when I first get invested in a novel, I have a tendency to completely disregard everything else around me.
My favorite novels include: The Bell Jar, Norwegian Wood, On the Road, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Less Than Zero. The one that really stands out for me is Rabbit Run by John Updike.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Cannot say for sure, probably the fact I´ve lived this long with the most amazing luck.
Teach, Learn, Share
I´d like to teach someone to play the ukulele.
I´d like to learn Spanish and Mandarin, as well as becoming a good guitarist.
What I Can Share with Hosts
If I have my ukulele with me I can play a song or two.
