I'm an artist and painter. I mostly work outside the studio. When I travel, I carry a sketchbook and a pen and color. I sit somewhere on the street and sketch buildings—not to document them precisely, but to keep the architecture the way I saw it.

I also make animated films, so I tend to think in frames and details. Maybe that's why old buildings, uneven windows, and quiet alleys feel like stories to me.

I'm not looking for famous places. I'm looking for cities where I can sit in a corner and draw.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing to meet people, not just to see places. I believe the best part of traveling is the conversations you don’t expect—the ones that start in a kitchen or on a balcony late at night.

I’m curious about how others see their own hometown. What time does the neighborhood wake up? Which corner feels like home? What’s the story behind that old building on the main street?

I can offer good company, curiosity, and a quiet respect for your space. I travel slowly and I’m happy to just exist somewhere new for a little while.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have a project I started but didn’t continue: giving a small drawing to a stranger every day. On the metro, in the street, anywhere. I’d like to start again someday.

Teach:
I can teach you how to see a city differently—through a sketchbook. Not drawing skills, just the habit of stopping and really looking at buildings, windows, corners that don’t ask for attention.

Learn:
I want to learn how people greet each other in your language. Just a word, a phrase, the way you say hello to a neighbour or a stranger on the street.

I can share a small drawing of your city, or a story from my sketchbook, or a quiet evening with tea and no expectations.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook a simple Iranian or Turkish meal—nothing fancy, just the kind of food that smells like home.

And if you'd like, I can teach you a few words of Persian or Turkish—how to say hello, thank you, or “this tastes good.”

I can also join you for a day or two, if you're interested, and explore the city together—your favourite spots, hidden neighbourhoods, or just a good place to walk.
