Who am I? A question that has occupied ME for years. AND the answer, I have truly come to realize by now, does not lie in a single word. Although the word truly points to what it really is, it is even more about what it actually entails. What does it mean to BE? And how can you simply Be? For a long time I searched, everywhere, by listening, thinking, looking, by observing. It was a great internal journey. Question followed question, and that gave rise to more questions; all the questions flew by, until I found that one question. In my view, this question is the most genuine question, even more real than any answer...

Am I? Do I exist? And... what does it mean to be HUMAN? It is not that I think I have all the answers; I know that I know nothing, but I see a path laid out for me somewhere. A path along the beach, along the sea, along a land, along a human being. Why do we go to the beach? What is the reason? Are we looking for something there? Do we want something there? Or do we actually want absolutely NOTHING there for a moment? It is something that intrigues me. I picture the waves washing the sand over my feet into the surf.

I am deeply interested in people and their stories. Or rather, I am genuinely interested in the BEING of being human. I have a feeling that we come to the beach, go there, and long for it because we can truly BE there for a moment. You breathe, a breeze, the sun sparkling, a drop in an ocean. I am curious what this journey will bring me. I would like to speak with you, somewhere along the coast or perhaps a little further inland. I want to let it flow again, because now that I have said all this, know that I would also love to share my story with you. Being can also be done together, which is why we call it "BEING" TOGETHER. That is possible together, perhaps it is even possible only TOGETHER. For we are 1, inseparable, connected, a being.

My journey starts in the Netherlands, heading north (Nieuwe Statenzijl), and I want to walk further south (Vlissingen), towards Belgium, France, and Portugal (later on United Kingdom... and who knows? ;) ). I live in Breda, in the Netherlands, was born in 1986, produce music beats (hiphop, alternative, jazz, etc..), am very friendly, have created a poetry collection, and am interested in self-sufficient living. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

If you help me, I can help you. And ALSO... if I help you, maybe you can help me? We need each other.. I need you (for the trip), but I also want to meet people at my home in Breda in the Netherlands as well when I get back HOME again! And we can get to know each other. I want an adventure, I want to feel free. I want to see the sea! I think Couch Surfing could be a fun TOOL for me. I would also like to have conversations, ask questions, give answers, share experiences and -=if possible=- do interviews that I will later post/upload (in audio) on my website: www.beingonthebeach.com :D Of course always with someone else's permission!! One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Let me get straight to the point. I have traveled a lot internally; now I am done and eager to travel externally :) AND what I can say is this: I have always held the conviction that only a doer can do; as soon as you are identified with a doer, then you DO. But do we actually do anything? This aligns strongly with Waking Up OUT of the dream, or seeing through illusion; you can let go of whatever you were once identified with. The best thing I have ever done? That is precisely wanting to be FREE.
