ABOUT ME

I have been called a unicorn and referred to as crack girl.
No, I do not participate in illicit drug use. I'm pretty sure these references are made to address my bubbly, energetic personality. So! Now that I have your attention, I'll be a bit more formal. =)

I am a recent college graduate who is currently taking some time off before pursuing a masters to become a Physician Assistant. I am currently working in several Emergency Rooms as a Clinical Information Manager (CIM or ED scribe). I absolutely love my job and would not change anything in the world to be anywhere else besides medicine. The world challenges me intellectually and emotionally more than I ever knew possible. The patients I interact with leave me grateful every day.

That being said, I am a young, determined, sassy soul with a fierce appetite for travel, exploration, and adventure. I'm always excited to make new friends and learn about others. I love to meet new people and love love LOVE to take care of others (especially with the form of food). Heads up, I'm super outdoorsy and active. =)

I am very new to CS and hope to start meeting new people soon! I was inspired to join by the couchsurfers and hosts I have met and their love for traveling and life. Who doesn't want to travel the world and experience it the way the locals do?

UPDATE June 2013:
Sadly, I have left Philadelphia CS after amazing CS gatherings and events due to a job change. Since then, I have not been able to be as active as I would've liked, however I'm looking to pick it back up again!

I'm down for anything that challenges me physically, mentally, and emotionally. I'm a huge outdoorsy, active individual. I love to run, snowboard, figure skate, play volleyball, bike, yoga (you get the drift), bake, cook, dance, sing, play the piano, listen to music, meet and take care of people, and experience life.

Oh! And I'm always down for a drink and dancing like crazy. =)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

2. My first experience outside the country was a 2 week backpacking trip in Europe. I fell in love with being exposed to the different cultures and the glorious food.
1. My residents made me a CD on why they believed I was the best Resident Assistant ever. Their love amazes and humbles me every time.

Teach, Learn, Share

I will always be a student. There is a place and time where I will be a teacher, but I find myself always learning from others. =)

There is an uncanny need to bake for others, so you will most likely have to eat my chocolate cupcakes filled with sweet chocolate chip cream cheese or whatever other baked good I choose after I figure out your kitchen.
