COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was stranded for 10 days in Berlin when I was unable to get a seat on a flight home. A friend of mine had given me the name and number of a friend of his who lives in Berlin in case I had trouble while I was there. So I contacted her and she invited me to a party at her apartment, welcomed me into her home, showed me many wonderful things in Berlin and took great care of me. I was so grateful to her and her friends, I would love to be able to help someone make such wonderful memories as she did for me.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I visited the home of a Mormon fundamentalist family who lives in caves that they blew in the side of a mountain with dynamite in the Moab desert. The original family consisted of 1 man, 4 wives, and 38 children who now have their own families consisting of several wives and many, many children. It was maybe the most foreign, surreal thing I have ever seen, but the people were all incredibly welcoming, kind and generous with their way of life.
