I'm Bekir, I'm a 20 years old student from Ankara/Turkey. Ankara is my home city but I study in Istanbul since 2 year. I like traveling, learning new things, exploring new places. I'm in love with music, cinema and literature. I play music in the street in my free times.

I love jazz music, I'm a big fan of Bill Evans, John Coltrane and Bach (I also listen classical music sometimes) My favorite albums are Undercurrent by Bill Evans and Jim Hall, A Love Supreme by John Coltrane.
My favorite director is Tarkovsky. He is the reason that I study communication in the university. My favorite movie is The Mirror by Tarkovsky. I also like Bergman and Bresson.
I love russian classics. It's hard to say this or that is my fav book, but let me write the names of my favorite books: Crime and Penalty, The Brothers Karamazov, Grapes of Wrath, For Whom the Bell Tolls. I'm also in love with the poems of Nazım Hikmet.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Last summer, I went to the most beautiful vacation resorts in the south of Turkey with my cousin by hitchhiking from the city where I live. We took our guitars with us and wandered around like two free-spirited gypsies, exploring the shores of the Aegean Sea. We slept in our tents, and whenever we needed money, we played music to earn a living. With the money we made, we satisfied our hunger, and whenever we got bored of a place, we hitchhiked to another destination. We enjoyed the freedom and spontaneity of life, living like two hippies straight out of the 60s.
