ABOUT ME

i'm generally a very laid-back person. i have my curious side, as well, which is probably what leads me to travel. i'm from very-small town USA, studied something called "peace studies" at a rural Indiana college. half way through college i decided to spend a year in Quito, Ecuador, returned to Indiana to graduate, and then studied political science in Caracas for a year.

PHILOSOPHY

In search of that ellusive "more just, more liveable world"

Interests

politics (especially U.S, latin america, and middle east), reading (especially the news, interesting magazines and good books), languages (especially the romance ones), people (are just facinating...and mysterious), music & movies (good and poppy), a good balance between solitude and company, writing (especially in my journal, sometimes in my blog), The Daily Show (rocks!), war and peace (how to handle the inevitable phenomenon called "conflict"?), cultures (of the world), the earth (may we treat it with the respect it deserves)....
