About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Teaching and learning to live

ABOUT ME

Hi! I`m Christoph and I studied Geography and Mathematics in Freiburg/Germany. Since September 2010 I live in Konstanz. The Lake of Constance is named after my new hometown. I'm teaching my subjects here at Suso-Gymnasium.
Since I had quite a full-time-Job during my practical education to become a teacher ("Referendariat") I didn't do a lot of hosting and couch-surfing in the past two years. This shall change now :)
In August I'm planning to travel to Central-Asia with my girlfriend Kiki and I would be very happy to meet couchsurfing members in Uzbekistan and Tadjikistan.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I do not have a broad experience with CouchSurfing, but all the experiences I made were really nice and I'd like to share the following with you (which actually wasn't a CS experience, but a Hospitality Club experience, hospitalityclub.org - it's the same idea..).
In 2005 I did some practica in Porto/Portugal. A friend of mine told me about CS / HC, and it seemed to be a good idea to become a member to get my social life started in Porto. Before traveling to Porto I contacted Mauni (see my friends) and asked her to host me- so she became my first CS experience. I really needed a place to live and bingo, there's been a room for rent in her flat! -so we ended up flatting for a few months. Mauni was really active on CS and there's hardly been a week without guests in Porto - which was really nice!

Interests

Travelling plays a big role in my life. I virtually travel all the time. Unfortunatly just "virutally". As it is not possible to travel all the time due to other duties I have. But I love planning trips, I enjoy reading about other countries, culture and politics.
