Overview
About Me
“I frequently travel between Mumbai, Goa, Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Himachal”
🔖 Read thoroughly before sending me a Couch Request….
(Send only if you’re humour is good and you love laughing and having healthy fun)
“Strictly, a BIG NO to copy-paste and ChatGPT requests”
- An absolutely STRAIGHT guy, so bottom and top up recharges, pls do not bother, respect my sexuality, and I’ll respect yours…
- Entrepreneur | Writer/Filmmaker | Activist | Vegetarian |Proud Couchsurfer
- I own a real estate firm, in case you’re planning to relocate to Mumbai. My company specializes in posh areas like Versova, Juhu, Santacruz, Khar, Bandra, and South Bombay.
Couchsurfing Lines:
1. Please don’t text me or suggest meeting up just to sound or look cool. Mumbai is chaotic and complex if you’re not well-placed location-wise…. When I agree to meet, it often means rescheduling my work or saying no to others. I value genuine conversations over random words. Let’s keep it meaningful!
2. If I message you first, it’s purely to help, regardless of gender or race. I reach out to ensure you have the best start, reliable information, and a smoother experience, because that’s what the CS community is about.
3. To my guests: If I share my number, it’s for quick and effective communication. Don’t hoard it and show up on WhatsApp at the last minute saying, “Hey Vinayak, I’m reaching tomorrow morning. Can you send your address, honeyyyyy?” Please don’t do that, I’m not a hotel attendant or your Night Manager!
Once you’ve my contact, you’ve 48 hours to connect with me, or consider your request cancelled. Hope I’m being clear, or maybe bluntly rude here, but I really don’t care 😅
My Bio, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & History:
- I’m originally from Prayagraj - a Holy city in the North. I was born in Agra-UP, brought up in 10+ cities across Assam, UP, Punjab, Delhi, Gujarat and Maharashtra. Have lived and travelled extensively around India, perks of being a Fauji Kid 😎
- I’m a KVite, an extraordinary, fearless, straightforward and principled man with masculine traits such as resilience, determination, and leadership. I approach challenges head-on and stand firmly for what I believe is right. I value honesty, intelligence and cuteness.
- I’m allergic to mediocrity and stupidity - so if you “tyPe LyK dis” or do not like to use your brain thinking someone else will do it for you, kindly don’t bother.
- I can also help you with recommendations and guidance about places other than Mumbai city 🌆
PLEASE NOTE:
- Pls don’t bother If you’re a Fokatiya (Freeloader) or/and a Chutiya (Jerk)
- A special fuck-off to those who only have one profile picture, and it's a group photo with half a dozen people in it.
- This isn't a dating app, so let's stick to talking about travel. If you're feeling flirtatious or horny, you can ask me for my Bumble link, and I will happily unmatch you there 😀
- Please DO NOT send me a Couch request if you’re dirty, you don’t like to take bath because you hitchhike, if hitchhiking is staying dirty then leave it, but please take bath and keep yourself clean instead of making shitttty excuses like “oohhh bro you know bro I’ve been hitchhiking bro, so I hardly get water bro, and when I get water I don’t get time bro, and when I get both, I don’t feel like taking bath brooo because I get tired broooooo, ohh bro understand my situation broooo, immmmaaa hitchhiker broooooo, give me just a corner of your home bro, that’s enough for me to make your entire place stink with shit brooooooo……
Ohh bro, I’m sorry broooo, and strictly a NO BROOOOOOOO!
- I don’t like to meet people just to get references, I meet them to make memories.
- I'm passionate about hosting, sharing experiences and discussing various stuff related to the life with fellow Couchsurfers.
However, I've noticed a concerning trend within the community that I feel compelled to address.
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR GUESTS:
As your host, I prioritize clear communication and mutual respect. Please ensure:-
• You arrive at the agreed-upon time or inform me in advance if you’re delayed, especially for arrivals between midnight and early morning.
• You do not bring additional guests without prior approval. (After chatting with me for nearly 10 days, a female traveller brought along an uninvited man she met on her connecting flight, as the guy played on her safety concerns, just to “check” if my place was safe for her, LOL 🤣🤣) Pls don’t disrespect your host doing such nonsense!
• Please respect that my role as a host includes ensuring a comfortable and safe experience for everyone, as I understand my responsibilities both as a host and as a man.
🚩 Couchsurfing Tips & Reality Check:-
1. Know the Difference Between Hospitality & Exploitation:
If you’re a traveler (especially a female) expecting free meals, free sightseeing, free stays, and even free intimacy…. understand that nothing truly comes for free. Mumbai, like any other big city, is full of people who share stories within the CS community. If you think you’re getting everything effortlessly, know that someone might be talking about you behind your back. Choose your hosts wisely, and respect the hospitality you receive.
2. Respect the Journey, Not Just the Destination:
Travel isn’t always about luxury - it’s about experiences. If you’re someone who expects five-star treatment on a shoestring budget, Couchsurfing might not be for you. Be open to new experiences and respect your host’s efforts rather than throwing unnecessary tantrums.
3. Be Clear About Intentions:
Building a connection with someone before traveling is great, but if your plan is to take advantage of someone’s kindness and then walk away when something “better” comes along, it’s not just selfish but disrespectful. Be honest about your expectations, whether it’s about the trip, the stay, or the relationship.
4. Couchsurfing Isn’t Tinder:
If your main goal is to use CS as a dating or hookup app, there are plenty of other platforms for that. While genuine connections do happen, treating hosts or travelers as temporary “fun” and discarding them later is unfair. Don’t take advantage of someone’s emotions and hospitality.
5. Choose Your Travel Partners Wisely:
If you plan a trip with someone, be prepared to compromise. Switching plans last minute, acting entitled, or making things unnecessarily difficult just because you see “better options” is a selfish move. Travel requires adaptability, if you’re not ready for that, maybe solo travel is a better option for you.
6. Self-Respect Goes Both Ways:
If someone treats you well, respect them in return. Taking advantage of someone’s kindness and then moving on when it’s convenient isn’t just bad karma, it also damages the spirit of real travel connections.
MY APPROACH:
I refrain from attending regular Couchsurfing meetups due to a disappointing observations, many individuals attend solely to collect references, they treat CS meet-ups like reference speed-dating, without genuine interest in fostering meaningful connections.
I've encountered instances where individuals have provided references after minimal interaction, prompting me to question their authenticity. I once got a reference from someone I barely spoke to for a minute, and then the same person was aggressively following me up for the reference. Lol 🤣
IDENTIFYING FAKE COUCHSURFERS:
- To help maintain the integrity of the Couchsurfing community, it's essential to be vigilant in identifying fake people. Here are some RED FLAGS to watch out for:
- They collect more personal references than Pokémon cards.
- Their references sound like they were written by a robot with a thesaurus.
- Lack of hosting activity, often attributed to familial restrictions, not because they can’t host but because they’ve a family at home and their family don’t know they’re on Couchsurfing, lol 😆
- Attendance at meetups with ulterior motives, disrupting the genuine atmosphere.
- Dishonesty regarding personal & professional backgrounds.
IMPORTANT:
- If someone claims to know me outside of Couchsurfing but lacks a reference from me on their profile, it's likely a false assertion. I believe in authenticity and transparency within our community, and I encourage others to do the same. Meeting someone and knowing someone are 2 different ends. NEVER give reference to people you’re not 💯% sure about.
Despite encountering challenges, I'm still optimistic and down for genuine connections and epic Couchsurfing experiences. So, if you're up for real talks, real laughs, and real adventures, hit me up!
