Overview
About Me
I am a second year student in one of the most well-known universities in Russia (National Research University Higher School of Economics) where I study Economics (major) and data science (minor). As I remember I always was interested in math, physics and law but when I took an Eco class in my junior year I realized that that was the thing that I wanted to study. Now I plan to contnue my education and get my masters or even PhD degree somewhere abroad( still not sure where exactly). I also love traveling and learning cultures. Unfortunately, I did not get to travel a lot while I was a child and my traveling experience started only when I was 16. After I've spent the whole year in the States, visiting some major cities and getting to see lots of places I realized that I want traveling to be a significant part of my adult life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
This year I and my friend Nick participating in Work&Travel program (worked in Beckley, WV) and on our way back home we'll stop in NYC for several days so we could enrich our experience of "Work" also with "Travel" and "Fun" and I thing that couchsurfing is the best place for that.

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't really have any favorite genre of music - it all depends on my mood. But I can name two groups that I like the most: one republic and imagine dragons. About movies - I am not a movie person either. I have a loooong list of "movies to watch" but it's just getting longer...I did watch game of thrones though!
About books - I love reading. My last books that I've read this month were "1984","Animal Farm", "Pride and Prejudice".
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Probably the most amazing thing that I've done so far in my life is a participation in the Flex program (stands for Future Leaders Exchange). The idea of this program is simple - cultural exchange. High school students who became finalists of the special competition get to spend the whole year in US with host family. Sounds good BUT you don't get to choose your family, school or even a state. Considering the fact that I was only 16 and had no idea where I am going and how my next year would look like, this trip was a risky thing for me. But everything turned out even better then I could expect - I spend this year in a wonderful state of Lone star - Texas - with people who treated me as their own family member. I still keep in touch with them and after 3 years I came to visit them this August. During that year I got to experience real american life with high school, holiday picnics, movie nights and spring break trips. This year changed me a lot - I learnt how kind and nice people can be to those whom they have never met before and as a member of national honor society I got to volunteer a lot which thought me to dedicate my time to others.
What I Can Share with Hosts
With my future hosts I would like to share Russian traditions, my own experience of traveling and I could even cook some Russian dishes. And since I travel with my friend from Moldova, he could also tell us stories about his country.
