Books taught me to dream. However, it was through travelling that I have learned to live and connect with myself. I am a medical Student in Salvador, Brazil who seeks personal and spiritual growth. I love sports such as surfing, trekking and diving. I believe that everything happens for a purpose to direct us to a path of personal evolution, sometimes for good experiences and happiness, but we are also directed to face immense challenges. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When it comes to travel, I always prefer to have the most immersive experience possible. Really get to know the local culture, customs, habits and activities. And from a very early age I realized that the best way would be to connect with people who experience this daily. My travels allowed me to make lifelong friendships. I hope to be able to make this trip an opportunity to make new friends, learn a lot and share good conversations and laughter.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really like Alt J, Beirut, Brazilian pop, Mozart, Beethoven, Opera and Mantras. I'm eclectic and I listen to a little bit of everything. My spotify is always on while I study. Personally I have a thing for movie soundtracks. As for the books: my favorite book is "El tiempo entre sesas" by Maria Duenas and "Eat, pray and love" by Elizabeth Gilbert. I've been fascinated by Harry Potter since my childhood, nowadays I don't remember all the details of the story, as before, but I still have a lot of affection for being part of a remarkable time in my life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm a medical student and during college I founded a project that guaranteed access to health education in an underserved community. This project provided more than 2,000 people with access to training on sexual protection, first aid, and mental health care. It was very satisfying.
