I booked my flights that will start from USA and stop by Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, and most of Central Europe (April - June). I recently finished these books called "Outsiders" by Billy Thorndike, "When Breath Becomes Air" by Paul Kalanithi and "Goodbye, Vitamin" by Rachel Khong. They were all fantastic. I listen to a lot of acoustics and 80's pop songs. But I really don't have a favorite genre.
