Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To travel the world by meeting and making friends with locals. To see the world as a local and not just as a tourist. To see countries first hand, without allowing media, social assumptions and prejudice to blind and stunt my growth. To be a worldly leader and integrate world culture into my own education and the education which I teach and provide.

Lived/Living abroad for 2 years on my own in a non-English speaking countries.
Worked for 2 multibillion dollar international companies.
Experiencing the beauty of the stars each time I walk home from work in the evening.

Education is a cure all.
Though some do not want to have their knowledge challenge is fear of being wrong. Do not be ashamed of your ignorance if you are seeking to learn. Only fear your ignorance if it allows you to cover your eyes without guilt.
Education is humanities beauty; so lets share it and keep growing ourselves. Be imaginative. Problem solve. To live is to be learning.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have 2 couches. One is small and the other has removable cushions which could be used on the floor.
Unfortunately this is probably not suitable for everyone, but it is what I currently have available.

I have all the usual facilities of an apartment:
Washing Machine
Shower
Toilet
Small kitchen; mini oven, microwave, cook top and fridge/freezer - Though due to the nature of nutritious and cheap food a plentiful I very rarely cook myself
Air conditioner and heater
24/7 monitored housing

In addition:
Welcome to use soap, shampoo and detergent for clothes washing
Happy to take you with me out for meals
No extra key is provided, sorry
Due to the nature of China's laws your stay will need to be registered with the local police station so a stay must be known in advance to meet this legal requirement
