I was born and raised in New Hampshire, moved onto Boston for school, and until recently lived in San Francisco.
I've decided to take some time off from my job as a software engineer to experience more of the world around me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've found that my favorite experiences traveling are times when I've been able to embrace and engage with the culture around me instead of orbiting around it. Staying at a hostel or an AirBnb doesn't make that as easy to do.
I hope to provide the same opportunity for people to experience a new place when I have a house of my own.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: alternative rock (2000's era pop punk in particular), hip hop, ambient electronic. But I'll listen to anything once. Anything except country music.

Movie: Tie between Nothing In Common and The Wizard.

Books: Recently finished Handmaid's Tale, the Kingkiller Chronicles, and Vagabonding.
Vagabonding was extremely inspirational for this trip.

Helped on construction projects and translated for volunteers working at young girls orphanage in Cuzco, Peru

What I Can Share with Hosts

- Tech support! I've worked in IT in some form for over 4 years and I'm happy to help with anything that causes you pain.
- English or Spanish practice! I'm conversational in Spanish with some gaps in tenses and vocabulary, but I'm always happy to practice.
I love talking about local politics and culture and I'm happy to share my thoughts on all the crazy shit going on in my country. 😀
- Manual Labor! If it needs moving, lifting, digging, or assembling, I'll give it a shot.
- Household chores! Anything you can think of that you need help with around the house.
- A beer or two. :)
