About Me

Hosting Details:
***Avaliable only from March 9-12th***

I always aim to host surfers whenever I’m available but I’m rather busy with university and work. If I can’t host you I’ll still be happy to give advice on travelling through Victoria or Vancouver. If you put some effort into your request, I’ll always try to put some effort in to host you or show you around. I live with two other respectful male roommates (they are respectful or else I wouldn’t live with them) and can sometimes give surfers the private room and sleep on the public room if they are more comfortable with that. House is very LGBTQ+ friendly too :)

I’ve returned to the student life doing my masters after taking some time to work in Vancouver and Ontario. My lasts trips have involved backpacking around Spain, road trips in the Yukon, backpacking around Australia/Bali - always solo - over the past few years trying to approach all people and each experience with an attitude of curiosity and enthusiasm. Now trying to make the most of the Vancouver’s fleeting sun and enjoy festivals, shows, mountains, and the beach where ever there's time.

Me:
I'm an enthusiastic and curious person who tries to always be engaging with people and learn. I seek to make the best of all moments and appreciate good company and conversations especially over long walks. My interests are quite the eclectic range and often tend to involve people, learning, live music, or the great outdoors. I enjoy hiking, mountain and road biking, camping, unskillful whitewater kayaking, and skiing.

I try to explore a city/town by spending one day on foot, the second by bike, and at least one day with locals I've met often through CS if time permits. I enjoy camping, hiking, mountain and road biking, and gigs\live music.

I'm doing my masters in geology at UBC and have worked as a geologists in the past. My studies also have involved geography, and English and have been working looking for gold for the past summer. As an avid listener to podcasts and audiobooks, my interests include dabbling with philosophy, psychology, science, and politics.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My two other roommates and I are always happy to have more people around at the house and hangout in Vancouver.

When travelling, I aim to connect with locals and fellow travellers alike over a good coffee or beer.

Teach, Learn, Share

I also have worked in a tourism information center by Vancouver and can give travel advice for Canada.

Podcasts and books fill my time and I enjoy discussing with hosts or guests about their world views and topics we have learned through experiences.

I can make west coast canadian style salmom for my hosts.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Local west coast Canadian music, help around the house, and some Canadian poutine...

I'll also most likely bring some beer, wine, or chocolate
